Packaging in all its forms.
My career began in package design, and it remains one of my favorite projects to work on. I enjoy the physical, tactile, and experiential nature of this work.
Private Label Wine for Kroger - Private label wine packaging for Kroger, featuring illustrated petroglyphs inspired by the regions where the grapes were grown.
I worked closely with the illustrator to develop the imagery, and the die-cut label became one of my favorite package details.
Painted Rock
Metolius Brewing Company
A three-style private-label beer line for Safeway, each distinguished by color and a different fly used on the Metolius River.
I worked with an illustrator to develop the artwork and give the line a strong sense of place.
Private Label Beer for Fred Meyer - A four-style private label beer line inspired by historic American fire marks, with each variety distinguished by color and a different badge. The packaging also features Portland’s real Fire Station 5, tying the concept back to a local landmark and giving the line a stronger sense of place.
First Station 5
Brewing Company
Packaging for a California-based company that sold nationally through grocery, club, specialty retail, and food service channels.
Each product line had its own brand treatment and color system, with designs developed around the limitations of index-color printing on plastic packaging.
G&G Specialty Foods
Packaging for small-batch, kettle-cooked fresh soups, sauces, entrées, sides, and desserts distributed across North America to a broad customer base, including grocery, club, and convenience retailers, as well as the food service channel.
